 How you use Gourmet Smokin' Chips™ will depend upon your style of grille or barbecue and can be used with hot coals or a gas grill. - Over Hot Coals - Build a fire with wood or charcoal briquettes. Allow the fire to burn down to a steady heat.
Add Gourmet Smokin' Chips™ directly on top of the fire. Add enough to create the amount of smoke you want for your food. Start with a handful and then observe the fire. You can add more chips to lower the heat of the fire and create more smoke. Watch the fire and add Gourmet Smokin' Chips™ as necessary to maintain the smoke you desire. Be careful not to use too many chips as you may choke your fire down too much.
- With a Gas Grill - Establish your fire at the desired level. Place a handful of Gourmet Smokin' Chips™ in a clean aluminum pie pan or aluminum foil or a "smoking chip container". Then place the container directly over the heat. You can add more chips for more smoke.
